Provincetown, MA is located at the northernmost tip of Cape Cod. As the first US landing for the pilgrims, the town will commemorate its 400th colonial anniversary in 2020.
Provincetown has a diverse and vivid history as a fishing village and a more recently a gay mecca. Also, Provincetown is the longest, continuous art colony in the US and has a 40-year history of marine science among its rich cultural mix. The Cape Cod National Seashore nearby offers beaches, trails, sand dunes and history attractions.
TEDxProvincetown hosted its 2019 program at Fishermen Hall.
Fishermen Hall is newly renovated, air conditioned and fully equipped performance space. It is centrally located and a quick walk from Provincetown’s town center.
Provincetown is well stocked with a range of restaurants and hotels. There are local taxis and pedicabs to get around, though the town is very walk-able and bike rentals are available. Whale watching, dune tours, art strolls, night life and nature hikes are among the many attractions, along with the iconic Pilgrim Monument, town hall, lighthouses another historic landmarks.
